As part of its internationalization strategy and its commitment to strengthening academic and professional cooperation, the Laayoune Institute of Journalism and News Sciences conducted a working visit to the French Republic at the invitation of IFC Group – Wesford Business School. The visit aimed to develop cooperation and partnership opportunities with several French academic and media institutions.

This visit marked an important milestone in the Institute’s efforts to open up to leading international experiences in the fields of media, communication, and professional training. The program included a series of academic and professional meetings, as well as field visits to specialized institutions in training and communication, including the European Communication School (ECS), one of Europe’s leading institutions in communication and media studies.

The visit culminated in the signing of a strategic partnership and cooperation agreement between GROUP IPSI MEDIA MAROC and GROUP IFC FRANCE. The agreement establishes an institutional framework for collaboration covering continuing education programs, the exchange of expertise and professional skills, the organization of scientific and professional conferences and seminars, and the development of joint projects in the fields of media, communication, and digital transformation.

This agreement is part of the Institute’s vision to enhance the quality of education and training, benefit from successful international practices, and create new opportunities for students, academic staff, and media professionals to gain exposure to advanced expertise and experiences in journalism, media, and communication.

During the visit, an official invitation was also extended to the French partners to visit the city of Laayoune next October, with the aim of discovering the development potential of Morocco’s Southern Provinces and exploring new opportunities for academic and professional cooperation between the two institutions.

The delegation participating in this professional mission included:

  •  Abahazem Taqi Allah – Director of the Laayoune Institute of Journalism and News Sciences.
  •  Abidine El Maimouni – Director of Vision News Platform.
  •  Noureddine Agaras – Audiovisual Production Director at IPSI MEDIA Group.
  • Rachid Bismouken – Professional Journalist at Al Watan Media Newspaper.

The Laayoune Institute of Journalism and News Sciences affirms that this initiative represents a new step toward strengthening its national and international presence, enhancing its contribution to training young media professionals, and building strategic partnerships that support the development of media education and training in Morocco’s Southern Provinces.
