In a patriotic atmosphere, the headquarters of the Chtouka Aït Baha Province prefecture hosted the official flag-raising ceremony this morning, commemorating the first anniversary of Unity Day—an occasion that served as a symbolic milestone to recall the values of cohesion and steadfast attachment to the national constants of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The event was presided over by the Governor of the Province, Mr. Mohamed Salem E-Sebti, with the attendance of the General Secretary of the Prefecture, the President of the Provincial Council, the President of the Local Scientific Council, heads of security services, representatives of local authorities, a number of elected officials, heads of external services, alongside civil society actors and several civilian and military figures.
The event commenced with the raising of the national flag to the tunes of the national anthem, in a solemn scene filled with feelings of pride and reverence. Attendees gathered around the Moroccan banner—which symbolizes national sovereignty and territorial integrity—recalling the deep historical significance of the anniversary and the profound meanings of solidarity and cohesion between the Throne and the people.
As a culmination of this national celebration, the ceremony featured the decoration of Mr. Omar Ben El Hussein Hassis and Mr. Hassan Ben Lahcen El Touhami with high Royal Insignia, in appreciation of their distinguished services and continuous efforts. This moment carried the weight of acknowledging dedication and valuing paths of devotion in the service of the public good and the homeland.
This occasion also served as an opportunity to reaffirm the pivotal roles played by institutions, local authorities, and civil society actors in solidifying the spirit of participation and enhancing cooperative ties to serve local development in the province and improve the living conditions of its population.
The national event concluded with prayers lifted to the Almighty to preserve the Kingdom of Morocco, perpetuate its blessings of security and stability, protect the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, grant him success, and gladden his eyes with the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay El Hassan, as well as support him alongside his brother, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the glorious Royal Family.
