The Head of Government, Mrs. Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, arrived in Moscow on Wednesday to represent His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the proceedings of the Third Russia-Africa Summit.
The proceedings of this summit and the Russia-Africa Economic Forum kicked off today in the Russian capital, with the participation of representatives from African member states of the United Nations.
The Moroccan delegation participating in this summit, held under the theme “For Peace, Security and Development,” includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and Morocco’s Ambassador to Russia, Lotfi Bouchaara.
The Third Russia-Africa Summit aims to strengthen cooperation between Russia and African countries across various strategic sectors, notably trade, investment, energy, agriculture, and technologies.
This edition falls within the framework of continuity that characterized the two previous summits held in Sochi in 2019 and Saint Petersburg in 2023, against the backdrop of a desire by Moscow and its African partners to expand the scope of their cooperation in various fields.
