Within the framework of structural reorganization and defining governmental competencies, an official regulatory document published in the Official Gazette stipulates assigning Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, to exercise the competencies related to the communication sector.

According to Article 2 of the regulatory text, the Minister is tasked with exercising the competencies related to the communication sector specified in Decree No. 2.24.1143 issued on Shawwal 12, 1446 (April 11, 2025), in addition to drafting and implementing an integrated youth policy in coordination with the relevant authorities and bodies.

Article 3 further specifies that the Minister shall hold authority over all central and decentralized structures established under the relevant decrees (No. 2.24.1143, No. 2.06.328, and No. 2.22.874, as well as the structures established under Decree No. 2.13.254, with the exception of structures related to kindergartens).

In the same context, Article 4 empowers the Minister to exercise state guardianship over public institutions subject to the authority of the government bodies responsible for culture and communication.
