Within the framework of ongoing efforts to support and enhance the health supply in the province of Béni Mellal, the Wali of the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region, Mr. Mohamed Benribak, chaired this morning, Thursday, July 9, at the Wilaya headquarters, a meeting of the Provincial Technical Committee. The meeting was devoted to discussing various aspects related to the recruitment process of medical and nursing staff, which is the subject of a partnership agreement aimed at strengthening health institutions with specialized human resources in the province of Béni Mellal.

During this meeting, which was attended by the President of the Provincial Council of Béni Mellal, heads of territorial communes, representatives of the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection, and all relevant local services, the Wali highlighted the context in which this meeting takes place, which is characterized by the dynamic implementation of the royal instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory and support, for the preparation and implementation of the integrated territorial development program, of which the improvement of health sector services remains one of its fundamental pillars.

The Wali explained that the initiative to recruit 39 medical and nursing staff members is the result of the collective efforts of all stakeholders and partners at the level of Béni Mellal province. He stressed the need to provide all conditions for the success of this initiative and commended the process of overseeing the distribution of these staff members to health institutions in the province, within the framework of a committee that includes all relevant actors, according to reasonable criteria to ensure a fair distribution that enhances the fulfillment of needs for medical staff in these institutions, in order to provide treatment and healthcare to the population in the various territorial communes of the province.

The meeting included a detailed presentation on the appointment process of 39 medical staff members (11 doctors and 28 nurses), who were recruited within the framework of a partnership agreement between the Provincial Council of Béni Mellal, the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection, and the “Health for All” Initiative Association. The appointment process aimed to reduce the shortage of medical and nursing staff, especially in health centers and dispensaries at the level of all territorial communes in the mountainous and rural areas of the Béni Mellal province.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to raise and discuss a set of issues related to the rehabilitation of health buildings in the territorial communes and to support initiatives to enhance the health supply to meet the increasing demand for treatment and to provide healthcare to the population of the province.
