Laayoune — Omar Laasri has marked a distinguished academic path in the city of Laayoune, after successfully securing the first rank in his class within the 10th cohort of Radiology Technicians for the 2023–2026 academic period.

Throughout his years of training at the institution, the outstanding student’s journey was characterized by excellence, earning praise from the supervising administrative and educational frameworks in this vital health specialization, given the “seriousness and perseverance that defined his academic, theoretical, and practical achievements.”
This specialization represents a fundamental pillar in the contemporary healthcare system, particularly in medical imaging and diagnostics. This achievement is set to supply the healthcare human resources in the Southern Provinces with highly qualified competencies to meet growing medical demands.
In this context, Hicham El Abassi, Director General of the media institution, speaking in his capacity as the student’s maternal uncle, expressed his pride in this distinction achieved by the native of Smara, emphasizing that this merit reflects the ambition of Sahrawi youth and their capability to give and excel in precise scientific and technical fields.
It is worth noting that the 10th cohort of Radiology Technicians in Laayoune includes a select group of graduates who received training that pairs in-depth theoretical lessons with field training within hospitals and medical centers, with the prospect of integrating them into the labor market to strengthen the national healthcare supply.
